(similar to a group chat on WhatsApp, Messenger, iMessage, slack, etc.) for ongoing continuous discussion with the whole workforce, a smaller group (such as managers only), or between an individual employee and managers.Built-in Chat Rooms would remove the need to use 3rd party solutions for this functionality and improve communication with employees.

This could be a good feature. With so many chat options around we try to make sure the case notes and our internal Google email and chat is where any regulated record is made. In our context we need to be wary of 'informal' comments flying about - HR dilemmas, confidentiality etc. I can see its worth and popularity to keep everyone inside one system.
