Clock-in and Clock-out function. Record exact times of shift start and end. Allow for self clocking by employees on their own device or on a dedicated device. Allow for clocking by managers. Timesheets generated from clocking information. Managers can adjust and approve timesheets.

It would be nice to be able to bring up 2 staff rotas at the same time to make it easier when staff want to swap a particular shift on an adhoc basis

To be able to gain higher training levels and to be able to receive certificates for training completed if wanted

The ability to upload a document to a rota would be great for us. Ie a programme for a school

When a manager has an empty shift to fill, they can look at Employee Availability or Shift Interest, or they could send a memo. But in some workforces these feature aren't used, or aren't suitable for filling shifts at short notice. A Shift Offer feature would allow a manager to immediately offer the empty shift to selected/all employees and get immediate responses. Auto assignment of first responders might be also be an option.

Chat Rooms (similar to a group chat on WhatsApp, Messenger, iMessage, slack, etc.) for ongoing continuous discussion with the whole workforce, a smaller group (such as managers only), or between an individual employee and managers. Built-in Chat Rooms would remove the need to use 3rd party solutions for this functionality and improve communication with employees.

Allow assigned employees (and managers) to leave notes or reports on their shifts. Reports could also be in a fixed format such as a questionnaire, e.g. toilets cleaned ☑︎ banking completed ☑︎ shelves restocked ☑︎ medication is given ☑︎ Including support for manager signoff. Reports/Notes could also include photos - allowing for before/after photos to be captured or other important information recorded.

The system sends many notification emails. A Batched Email feature would allow the system to send fewer emails. Emails that are not immediately important ( e.g. notifications about shifts in the far future) would be batched and combined into a single notification email.

Being able to place bulk training sheets/workshops online for staff to complete and be able to see when completed - like induction information for new staff

Expand and improve the API * so that are more functions and information is available through the system API.
